The talented and fleet-footed Nav Mansouri turned professional in December 2009 and has already packed eight bouts into his exciting career so far.
He halted Craig Tomes in five rounds on his December debut and then followed that up with a dramatic first-round knockout of Steve Spence in his Rotherham hometown. Since then, Mansouri has fought four more times at Rotherham's Magna Centre and counts the venue as something of a lucky charm, in fact. He defeated Ryan Clark over six rounds in April '10, achieved the same result against Gary Cooper in September and then defeated Lester Walsh over four rounds a couple of months later.
With four wins from four at the Magna Centre, Mansouri went into an April 2011 clash with Dee Mitchell full of confidence. The pair met in Mansouri's Rotherham lair and yet, despite a strong start, the home favourite would have to settle for a frustrating draw after six hotly-contested rounds. Despite the obvious disappointment of the result, however, Mansouri's home crowd enjoyed every moment of the clash, widely considered a small hall classic by those lucky enough to witness it.
Renowned for his high work-rate and energy, Mansouri is a real fan favourite and, indeed, boasts a huge Iranian following.
